Wouldn’t call it a rift but in his book Savard said that after he helped Molson search for the next GM (Bergevin), Molson had said he’d like to bring Savard back in the fold and give him a job but he never got back to him about it. Whenever he’s asked about that, Molson refuses to comment and says that his family has a lot of respect for Savard and changes the topic.
